The Lorain Lions Club has been serving the Lorain community and its citizens since it was founded in 1922. The club meets every Thursday at Rebman's On The Avenue, 5300 Oberlin Avenue, at noon, except on the first Thursday when it meets at 7 p.m. for dinner. Chef Mario Izzo spoke to Lions on September 25 about the opportunities and challenges of preparing food at the Metro Parks restaurants, the Rose Cafe at Lakeview Park and the Orchid Cafe at the Miller Nature Preserve.
