Lions meet advisor for new Lorain High School Leo Club

From left, Lion Marianne Parker of Elyria Evening Lions and District 13B chairperson for Leo Clubs, Lori Pyers-Goodwin, Lorain High teacher who will serve as advisor to the new Lorain High Leo Club, and Steve Sturgill, assistant superintendent of Lorain City Schools. Lorain Lions got a chance to meet Lori at the Thursday, May 26, noon meeting. Sturgill spoke of the school system desire to work with community service organizations like the Lorain Lions Club. Lion Marianne will be helping Lori adapt to her new post. Leo Clubs are a youth organization of Lions Clubs International. The word L E O stands for Leadership, Experience, Opportunity.

Thanks to Lions for sprucing up Elmwood Cemetery




Because of wet conditions at Lorain's Elmwood Cemetery on Pride Day, May 21, Lorain Lions spruced up the historic city cemetery on Monday, May 23. They were feted for their efforts by Lion Tony Freda. Thanks to Lions who participated. Good work!

Ron Jantz, Digital Media Consultant at Lorain County Community College and a former Lorain Lions, dazzled the Lorain Lions audience at the May 5 evening meeting with photos and videos of the eagles' nest at Redwood School in Avon Lake. International Princesses Grace Successful Lions Pancake Breakfast
