International Tree and Model Train Display Leaders Speak to Lions

Gail Bonsor (left), coordinator of the annual International Christmas Tree and Model Train Exhibit at the Black River Transportation Center in Downtown Lorain presented an overview of this year's displays at the Lions' December 14 lunch meeting.  Gary Schaefer (right) a Trustee of the Northeast Ohio division of the National Model Railroad Association, explained some of the background and activities of the Model Railroad exhibits at the Black River event. One of the central train displays this year is a railroad set up in a steel mill.  This is a colorful, exciting and fun event every year, and this year is especially interesting.  The display is open to the public free of charge on Fridays and Saturdays from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. during the month of December through December 30.  The exhibit will be close Sunday, December 24.
