The Lorain Lions Club has been serving the Lorain community and its citizens since it was founded in 1922. The club meets every Thursday at Rebman's On The Avenue, 5300 Oberlin Avenue, at noon, except on the first Thursday when it meets at 7 p.m. for dinner. Molly Tyson, owner of the consulting company "Common Sense Self Defense" spoke at the Lions on Thursday, May 15 and reviewed the facts around violent events in schools and other public venues and how to best defend against such horrific occurrences.
