Rick Novak, executive director of the Lorain Port Authority, spoke to Lorain Lions on July 14 on a number of issues, including the opening of first SCORE office in Lorain County in the coming weeks inside the Port Authority headquarters at Black River Landing. SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to helping small business get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through education and mentorship from 11,000+ volunteers. Novak also spoke about Brownfield loans available to those wishing to rehabilitate buildings in Lorain. He also described the overwhelming success of the port authority's Jet Express trip to downtown Cleveland with 275 passengers. |
