LORAIN LIONS BEING HONORED AT MONARCH NIGHT, FEB. 5

Here are the Lorain Lions who will be receiving chevrons to mark their years of service as Lions. They will be honored at our Thursday, Feb. 5, Monarch Banquet at Rebman's On the Avenue beginning with 6:30 p.m social time and dinner at 7 p.m., with Second Vice District 13B Governor Steve Cochie speaking and presenting the chevrons. Cost of dinner will be $12.

LORAIN LIONS TAKE PART IN GIBSONBURG LIONS CHARTER NIGHT

Lorain Lions Ken Cromer, Zone 4 chairperson, and Dan Smith, District 13B Public Relations and Marketing chairman and District Webmaster, pose with District 2nd Vice Governor Steve Cochie at the charter celebration for the new Gibsonburg Lions Club on Jan. 10. It was an inspirational evening recognizing this dynamic new club with 34 members. Reminder, 2nd Vice Gov. Cochie will be the featured speaker at the Lorain Lions Club Monarch Dinner on Thursday, Feb. 2, at Rebman's On the Avenue beginning at 7 p.m. He will also present to chevrons to the Lions honored at this event for their years of service.

LIONS LEARN OF UNITED WAY'S COLLABORATION PROJECT


William Harper, executive director of United Way of Lorain County, spoke at the Jan. 15 Lorain Lions noon meeting about the United Way's unique project of serving the needy in the area by helping agencies and organizations cooperate to achieve success.

A LOOK INTO NEW TECHNOLOGY

Dr. John Smith, a Lorain Lion, spoke at the Jan. 8 Lorain Lions night meeting, on the new technology available for treating those who are visually impaired. It was a very informative program.
